THE CHAFFINCH
For three years running, during breeding season, a territoral male chaffinch came and pecked incessantly on our front windows. It thought it's reflection was a rival male. The noise drove us mad, but made us smile at the same time. We loved our angry little friend.
Then one morning there was no pecking.
That same day, our elderly cat, Meat, brought us a 'gift'.
We never heard the tapping again.
